A Fantasy of Flowers Collection was launched as MAC’s spring summer collect. The collection overall is lovely, but what I loved the most was the MAC Pink Sensibilities Mineralize Eye shadow. It’s a shimmery pinky brown eye shadow. It’s really easy to work with despite the small pan. This is a product I would run to buy!

There are four colors in the quad, three with warm under tones and 1 with cool undertone. There are two pink shades and two brown shades.

Pinky Brown
Pinky Brown

Pinky Brown shade – it’s a medium brown shade which has light pink/rosy tone. It has a frosty and metallic finish.

Icy blue pink
Icy blue pink

Icy blue pink – it’s a pink with more of cool undertones. It’s very shimmery, glittery and powdery and does fall out during the wear. The best way to use this is with a sticky base, so that the powder sticks and stays longer. Another option is to use a dampened brush.

Yellow Pink
Yellow Pink

Yellow Pink – a light yellow pink with warm undertone and has frosty sheen. It’s not too powdery but definitely there is a fall out during the wear.

Chocolate Brown
Chocolate Brown

Chocolate Brown – it’s a medium-dark brown shade with warm undertone. It has a slight reddish tone to it when applied. It’s a good crease color.

The eye shadows are fairly pigmented and does last for around 6 hrs., but works the best with the primer. You can work on the pigment with or without using a dampened brush. If you want a more sheer color then just use the eye shadow in the powder form but if more opaque color then use this with a dampened brush.

Overall I think it’s a good eye shadow especially for the spring-summer time. I found it easier to apply with my fingers than the brush, but in case you need more opaque color, you will have to use a dampened brush.

I have worn it a couple of time since I bought it and have received complements. It’s a good eye shadow if you are going out partying or on a date but definitely not an everyday eye shadow.

Revlon Colorburst Lip butter – Candy Apple (035) Review

Revlon Colorburst Lip butter – Candy Apple
To all the beautiful ladies!!

Lately I have fallen in love with red lip color. So over the weekend as I was aimlessly wondering around the cosmetics counter and my husband was busy looking for watches I came across an amazing shade. I had heard of this shade and read about it but never ever saw it, the sensational Revlon lip butter in Candy Apple.

Revlon Colorburst Lip butter – Candy Apple

Lip butters are amazing formula. It’s moisturizing like a lip-balm and yet has a deep color. This is what sets them apart from other lipsticks.

Revlon Colorburst Lip butter – Candy Apple

I love the packaging. It comes in a regular lipstick like packaging; however, the cap of the lipstick is the same shade as the shade of the actual lipstick, which is the best part of the packaging. It’s easier to find the shade you want especially when you are in a hurry.

What does Revlon say about Revlon Colorburst Lip butter:

My experience:

I love the color. It’s red but not too bright. It has a little orange undertone and I feel it’s perfect for Indian skin color with yellow undertones. It’s very moisturizing; however, after 4-5 hrs you have to reapply, not for color but for moisture. It’s very well pigmented; the color stays on even after 5 hrs. and you can build it up from sheer to intense. This is my second shade and so far I love this Revlon colorburst lip butters and I want to buy other shades as well.

Benefit Cosmetics Benetint Lip and cheek stain

Benetint Lip and cheek stain

I was never a big fan of blushes, till I got introduced to this amazing product. Benetint from Benefit cosmetics is a lip and cheek stain. It was introduced to me by a friend. Every time I saw her I use to envy the glow that she had on her check and during on girle chat she revealed the secret, the Benetint lip and cheek stain. After that I had to get this somehow and it living in India, it’s difficult to get any Benefits products. So as soon as I found out that a friend was travelling from the USA I asked her to get it for me and then I started counting days. Since then it is something I have worn almost every day.

Benetint Lip and cheek stain

What Benefit Cosmetics says about Benetint :

Our original rose-tinted stain is kiss-proof, see-through color for lips & cheeks that lasts for hours. Naturally sheer & sexy on all complexions…it’s innocent yet provocative.

Originally created for an exotic dancer in the 1970s, benetint has soared to cult fave status. It’s loved by celebs, makeup artists and gals around the world. It’s the sexiest flush you can get from a bottle!

Benetint comes in a packaging that’s very similar to a nail polish packaging, the applicator brush is also similar to that of a nail polish brush. It’s a transparent bottle and the content appear as a deep red or burgundy liquid, but when you apply it on your cheeks or lips, its sheer. I like the packaging as its very convenient for travel or to carry in your handbag for a quick touch up. The only flip side to the packaging is that the mouth of the bottle is wide enough for the product to spill.

Consistency of the tint is watery. It’s very easy to blend on the cheeks as well as on lips. Since the its sheer you can always build it as per your desired shade.

Application – I apply the stain in my cheeks and then blend it out with my fingers. The only thing that you should be careful is that you should not spill it on your cloths. For my lips I have not found it effective as my lips are a little pigmentation so, I have to 3-4 layers to get some color. Like most lip stains it does make my lips dry in 2-3 hrs, but stays on the cheeks for a good 9 to 10 hrs. Since its water based, it does not become patchy and doesn’t make the skin oily or dry.

With any stain we have to be careful that it’s never applied if you have dry patches on your cheeks/breakouts or if your lips are dry. Before using the tint we should always exfoliate. That will give the best results.

The color is rosy red and after application it gives baby like pink cheeks. It also smells like roses. If you are fair you can apply just 1 layer but with someone a little dusky, you might have to apply 2-3 layers. With my complexion (MAC NC40), I can do with just one application.

I just love this product. I have used a lot of blushes and stains by I keep going to this one. I feel that is a value for $30. I know it’s expensive but it’s worth every penny.
